What is a Blog?
FIRST!
Ok, let's get this blog going! If you have failed to identify what the "first" was about, it's a basic form of trolling (remember don't feed the trolls) common in blog comments, forums, etc. Basically, they write "FIRST" and nothing else. It doesn't contribute in any manner to the original post. Ok, with that little trivia out of the way, let's answer today's question.
What is a Blog?
There are many answers to this question, but all of them agree on one thing: it's a type of website (LOL). Serisouly though, here you have Blogger's official definition taken from the starter's guide:

What is a Blog?
There are many answers to this question, but all of them agree on one thing: it's a type of website (LOL). Serisouly though, here you have Blogger's official definition taken from the starter's guide:
A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.Your blog is whatever you want it to be. There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and there are no real rules.
In simple terms, a blog is a web site, where you write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top, so your visitors can read what's new. Then they comment on it or link to it or email you. Or not.
Since Blogger was launched in 1999, blogs have reshaped the web, impacted politics, shaken up journalism, and enabled millions of people to have a voice and connect with others.
And we're pretty sure the whole deal is just getting started.
Blogs originally rose to popularity as a means for people to keep a personal journal online, as an option for "unofficial" journalism, and as a log for ongoing projects. It is from this last option that a blog gets it's name; blog is short for "web log."
Well, that's all for todays entry. I hope this blog becomes an ever evolving tool for us English Jedi to share our experiences in the always exciting world of English Language Teaching.
